The Shaeffer Family

A look into all that god is doing in the Shaeffer family.

Waiting is so hard… October 24, 2008

I hope everyone has been enjoying the pictures Michael has been putting up. He is very determined for us to become “Texans” and according to him that means wearing cowboy boots and hats. We have had several fun shopping trips in which we try these on, however we have quickly learned that they are not for us. We look and feel ridiculous. But it’s a lot of fun.

We’re anxiously awaiting Cameron’s arrival. I can honestly say now, that these last few weeks are the hardest. Not only does this discomfort just continue to grow and grow, I am just so ready to hold my little boy. Michael and I talk just about everyday about how we can’t wait to hug and kiss him. Which always leads to us “arguing” over who gets to hug and kiss him first :). Each day seems to go by so slowly as I try to pay close attention to my body to see if I feel any hint of contractions. Some good news is that I have started to experience a few contractions. I say it’s good news because they are still very mild and tolerable and just serve to remind me that there is progress. I’m sure once they are here for real I won’t be calling them “good news”.

Michael has a wordpress application on his iPhone so I’m sure we’ll update whenever the BIG DAY is finally here! Until then, we’ll be waiting…
