The Shaeffer Family

A look into all that god is doing in the Shaeffer family.

It’s almost over! October 11, 2008

First and foremost I am going to offer an apology to all friends and family that read this for not being consistent. The wireless internet that we use is not always reliable. It is also the reason why there are not pictures. Our connection is very weak and every time I try and upload pictures I lose my connection. It’s very frustrating. It makes me sad though because I was really depending on this blog being the way that I was going to post pictures weekly if not daily so all of our family and friends could watch Cameron grow. Right now I’m praying for a miracle in our internet situation.

Now for what we have been up to. I grow and grow every day. I officially have the pregnant “waddle”. Up to this point I only waddled when my feet were really tired. Now I do all of the time. Another new one is swelling in my hands and feet. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and she again made the comment that Cameron feels really big. She has scheduled an ultrasound for Wednesday the 15th (my Wonderful Husband’s birthday!) so she can get a better estimate of his size and weight. She said that if he is too big he will likely have to come early. I don’t really know how I feel about this. I’m ready for him to be here because I’m uncomfortable and I’m just so ready to meet him. However, Michael and I feel very strongly about letting him come when and only when HE is ready. I do realize though that my doctor will only induce if it is in Cameron’s best interest. We’ll just have to wait until Wednesday and see what she says.

Today we went and did our hospital tour. We were able to see the labor and delivery rooms and go over what we need to do when the BIG DAY comes. We also had to go ahead and watch the epidural video. That’s an awfully big needle that they put in your back. However, watching it did not change my mind one bit, I want that thing ASAP!!!!! I am such a wimp and have a very low pain tolerance, I just know that epidural is going to be my best friend.

Let’s see what else….I think that’s about all that’s been going on with us. Like I said earlier Wednesday is Michael’s 26th birthday! We don’t really have plans yet, I’m waiting on him to get back to me on what he wants to do. Please make sure and give him a call or send him a message making him feel special!

We miss each and every one of you in Memphis and in Louisville (and everywhere else scattered around the country). Thank you all for your love and friendship.
